Medieval Times Announces Final “Knight In Training” Dates

BUENA PARK, Calif.--( BUSINESS WIRE )--Summer will soon be over and so will this cool educational outing that’s creating memorable summer experiences for the entire family.

Sundays on August 7, 14, 21 and 28, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Buena Park will offer a free adventure-filled “Knight In Training” experience for children ages 5 to 12. This limited time offer at the California Castle ends after these four August dates.

This special program begins in advance of the 3:30 p.m. performance. Participants will enjoy an exclusive weapons demonstration by the knights and learn about the grueling training involved in becoming a knight. The fun-filled experience culminates as the children are “knighted” by his majesty King Philippe.

Space is limited and participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Closed toed shoes are required to participate. The doors open at 1:30 p.m. The “Knight In Training” program begins promptly at 2 p.m. Tickets for the 3:30 p.m. performance are required, but there are no additional charges to participate in the “Knight In Training” program.

Wow, it seems like it was just yesterday that we were were playing volleyball in the desert and just and suddenly we were pinning on your badge as a new police officer. From the first day I met you in 1996 when you were just a teenage explorer scout just learning the ropes, to when I saw you two months ago and was so proud of the fine young man and police officer you had become. I was always impressed by you strong faith and unquestionable commitment to duty and your loyalty to me, the department, our profession, your friends and your family was a shining example all of us can certainly learn from. Our community has lost one of it's true heroes, but heaven has gained a great soldier of our lord.
