In harmony with Hyundai Motors Corporation’s values of exhibiting dependable Corporate Social Responsibility, Hyundai Motors Nigeria Limited has presented the all new 2012 Hyundai Accent sedan to Miss Sylvia Nduka, winner of the 2011 MBGN pageant.The event took place June 25, 2011 at the Eko Hotel and Suites Lagos.
The presentation of the car is in commemoration of Hyundai Nigeria’s obligation to the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant, which is organised annually in Nigeria.
Presenting the car keys to Miss Sylvia, who represented Taraba State at the contest, Mr Parvir Singh, Managing Director and custodian of the Hyundai franchise said “Hyundai is proud to be associated with the MBGN pageant” which he described as “unique and fundamental to the enrichment of the cultural values of Nigerian beauty.”
Singh said: “We have followed with keen interest this unique show which we were told began in 1986 and are delighted to witness how the MBGN pageant has over these years inspired young girls in Nigeria to live up to the challenge of becoming worthy ambassador of this great country at similar beauty contests held in some parts of the world.”
Meanwhile, Mr Kiran Parab, Marketing Director, Hyundai Motors Nigeria Limited has acknowledged the celebration of cultural values and style as synonymous with Hyundai’s design ethics.
He explained that the choice of Hyundai brand of automobile for the MBGN pageant is strategically desired to inspire Nigerian youths to be replete with style and performance – a principle Hyundai represents, Kiran remarked.
He thus said: “The all new Hyundai Accent is an entry level affordable car for young but quick-witted people such as the MBGN Queen, whom we believe would inspire many other young Nigerians to carve a niche for themselves at tender ages before ascending the challenging career-ladder of life.”
