TRAFFIC WATCH: Aug. 5 to 12

Traffic Watch into the Future

- There will be a long-term one-lane closure on Hwy. 401 westbound collectors, from Keele Street to Kipling Avenue, until Nov. 15, weather dependent.

- There is a partial right lane closure due to mural painting in front of 4000-3967 Lawrence Ave E., at Overture Road, on the south side of the bridge until Aug. 13 at 4 p.m.

- Until Aug. 15, there will be major track reconstruction work at the King and Bathurst streets intersection. Traffic lane restrictions will continue at the intersection until the end of the project.

- Maintenance activity will have restrictions on Eglinton Avenue East from Leslie Street to Victoria Park Avenue until Aug. 26.

- Two northbound lanes are closed at Leslie Street from Steeles Avenue East to Francine Drive due to bridge work over the German Mill until 4:30 p.m. Aug. 31.

- The eastbound curb lane is closed from Cherry Street to 100 metres east from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the northbound curb lane is closed from Eastern Avenue to 50 metres south from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. due to driveway construction until Aug. 12.

- On Vaughan Road, one lane only will remain open from Winona Drive to St. Clair Avenue West for water service replacement until Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. The area will be traffic controlled.

- A special event will have restrictions on Shoreham Drive from Murray Ross Parkway to The Pond Road from 9 a.m. Aug. 15 to almost midnight Aug. 23.

- There will be partial lane closures and closures to segments of sidewalk on Bathurst street from Kenton Drive to Finch Avenue West to re-align existing sidewalks and construct a proposed bike path until Aug. 30 at midnight.

- Hoisting activity will have restrictions on Carlton Street, from Yonge Street to Porter Lane, until 7 p.m. Aug. 31.

- Keele Street northbound and southbound curb lane closures from Finch Avenue West to Murray Ross Parkway for road work and utilities relocation until Aug. 31.

- Until Aug. 31, on Markham Road from Hwy. 407 to Steeles Avenue East, one lane in each direction will be open due to bridge work. No lane restrictions during rush hour (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.)

- A minimum of one lane will be open in each direction on King Street West, from Atlantic Avenue to Sudbury Street, due to work on the street car tracks under the CNR overpass, until midnight Sept. 3.

- Gerrard Street East from Blackburn Street to River Street, the eastbound curb lane is closed and the road is down to one westbound lane until Sept. 15 just before midnight.

Businesses in the affected areas are open to pedestrian traffic but some roads will be closed to motorists.
