SKOKIE, JULY 20 — Police operating a drunk driving/seat-belt checkpoint on the 8500 block of McCormick Boulevard were confronted shortly after midnight by a resident of that block, swearing at them and flipping them the bird.
The man, 28, staggered through traffic, chased by the cops, who eventually cornered him in a stairwell.

Wasps take very slow boat from China
LAKE COUNTY, JULY 28 —The Lake County Forest Preserve District has applied to the U.S. Department of Agriculture to test the effectiveness of Asian predator wasps as a way of controlling the spread of the tree-eating emerald ash borer.
The effectiveness of the wasps is also now being tested in parts of Chicago and Cook County.
Interestingly, the agriculture agency had indicated such experimental Chinese wasp releases could soon be available — in 2007.

This is interesting, i think some people are also scamming innocent people regarding property's. i just reported to a news station that i was ALMOST scammed. i replied to an interest in several property's, and i received two emails back stating that the people who own the house are out of town on business, both emails were identical, just with different owner names.BOTH the emails said they are located in POLAND, and will be going to AFRICA in soon.
