OPTIONS PLAY : NYMEX CRUDE TUMBLES
AS the USD rallies, NYMEX CRUDE FUTURES take a dive (8/4/11).
MY ANALYSIS
Fundamentally, as the economy slows and unemployment doesnt get any better I believe the NYMEX CRUDE OIL FUTURES market will continue to trade lower as demand could potentially decrease.
Technically, in my opinion, I see NYMEX CRUDE OIL FUTURES in SUPER-TREND lower as the 9 day SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE has crossed under the 20 day SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE as both SMA's are pointing lower and the market trades below the indicators. According to my indicators I see the sell signal snd change in trend occur about 2-4 days ago, and more impotantly we have sen follow through. See daily chart below. Technically, the NYMEX CRUDE OIL FUTURES market is in a dwonward trend on this daily chart as the 9 week SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE is pointing lower and the market is holding below the 9 week SMA.
