Life Is But A Dream
Every time I find myself experiencing a beautiful summer day with its gorgeous scenery, sounds, sights and sensations, I feel like I am in a dream.
There are many indigenous peoples that believe that this life is just a dream. They say that we can alter the experiences of our lives because it is only a dream. The problem is that we don't believe it is a dream. We have made assumptions and because of those assumptions we have formed agreements that leave us in a dream offear.Shamans would go into the spirit world and help disconnect a person's spirit from this dimension's fears.
This philosophy is highlighted in the book, "The Four Agreements," by Don Miguel Ruiz. He talks specifically about the Toltec wisdom. In it he speaks of four agreements that people can make with themselves to be free from the fears of this world and live happier lives. Without changing any of personal beliefs, a bit of ancient wisdom can provide insight and awareness to our daily living.
The first agreement is to be impeccable with your word. This does not pertain to the everyday use of words only. Making sure you speak honestly and following up what you say with action, is important for your character.
The concept of being impeccable with your word goes further than this. Psalm 19 begins with, “May the words of my mouth and meditations of mind be acceptable to you.” This calls us to look into what is the intention behind what we say andwhat we think.
How would we feel if what goes on in our minds was an open book to God? Would we be proud of what was there? Being aware of our wordsand thoughts is the first step. Our words are creating our reality. They are forming our beliefs. Take a moment to consider what you think about as you day-dream. Does it express hope andpositive pictures of the future or do you rehash past mistakes of yourself orothers? Thoughts that are not of love are thoughts of fear.To be impeccable with your word is a simple concept that is not easy to practice.
As one opens to the meaning of this agreement, your understanding will expand. You will begin to pay attention to the smaller moments of the day. Thoughts that used to go unnoticed or passing comments that seemed to be no big deal beforebecome significant. As you become aware of the subtle expressions of the daythis agreement becomes more challenging than one originally thought. Lets work to making this world a better place by starting with our own minds.

The Truth about Dream Meaning Uncovered
Many people want to uncover the meaning of dreams but the fact that they need to be decoded makes matters more complicated. Our unconscious mind receives messages from dreams but only interpreting them would help us understand their true meaning. A lot of people want to understand the reason behind dreaming.
Throughout the day images, message and a variety of other stimuli are received by the brain. The mind picks out only the priorities out of all of these stimuli because all of them cannot be processed by it. On the subconscious level the brain can pick up several messages that you might not be consciously aware about.
Also throughout the day the range of emotions an individual feels are also different. These feelings are sometimes acknowledged, sometimes forgotten, while at other times we are not even aware that they occurred. The subconscious seems to be the best place when it comes to burying traumatic experiences while going into denial mode is a common practice to avoid the pain.
Thus our mind has a lot to think about and going on inside there so it continues to process these thoughts even when the human body comes to a rest at night. While most of the people never really remember dreams by the time they wake up, the fact is that everyone dreams at one point or the other.
There is a lot of information , interpretation and answers that the conscious mind cannot find but the dreaming mind has direct access to them all. Desires, hidden fears and enlightening or inspiring feelings can be revealed by dreams that need to be analyzed. People can increase their creativity simply by uncovering the hidden ideas present in dreams. If an individual has hidden away any traumatic and stressful aspects dreams actually help them to come to terms with them.
On the other hand analyzing a dream is not really a necessity. It can in fact be harmful if dreams are over analyzed and misinterpreted. Getting answers from dreams might not be as easy as it might seem because they do not always have a definitive meaning.
